Namaste Sanctuary of Love…
….and so…(drum roll)…. with much pride, our much anticipated 5th Annual Folk and Acoustic Festival is less than a week away. I would like to thank my committee, James, Tina and Colin and Festival Director David Marks, for the endless assistance in making this day possible. Behind the scenes, we have worked tirelessly to seam together another beautiful day of music, food, togetherness and celebration of the blessing our Sanctuary is to all who join us…. may the love be felt far and wide….

We still have a few stalls available at R100 each, attached is a form to fill in should you know of anyone looking to display their crafts and artwork. There are hard copies of application forms at the Sanctuary next to the healing book. Only holistic, recycled or homemade goodies will be on sale… so plants, pickles, paintings, dream catchers, fudge, sweeties, energy saving goodies… etc. are welcome.

Elaine from Highcroft Retreat is hosting a card reading by donation table and we invite all up and coming card readers to join her with this amazing idea… it’s on a donation basis and for those that perhaps feel R100 is out of reach, what a lovely way to receive a reading as well as for all of you that have skills or learning, to gain confidence and practice without any pressure!! I think this is going to be a winner, so please bring your cards and help Elaine with the Readings by Donation Table!
Our delicious food will be on offer again – veggie breyani, Badie and Edwina’s delicious breakfast rolls, boerie and chicken rolls, hoping for gifts of avo’s – if you have any ripening in your gardens, we would so appreciate a few for our vegetarian avo rolls! Thank you Cynthia for your assistance in managing the food tent as well as Badie, Edwina and our members for your incredible support with this mammoth task once again.
And of course…with all your help and assistance to please bring …. sweet and savoury treats for the tea/coffee/milo table … mmmmm….
Sanctuary of Love bottled water (filled with H2O and LOVE) will also be on sale!
The Rock Music Bistro will be supplying our wine and malt – thank you!
Tickets will be available from one booth for all food, drinks and cakes in denominations of R5, R10 and R15, which will be redeemable at the food and drink tent.
Please ….please …. please …. we are appealing to all at the Sanctuary for much needed helpers on the day (and the Monday with building the stage) …. if we each commit to an hour or two where we feel we will be of most help…. then it spreads the load and we will all have an opportunity to enjoy the rest of the day, listening to the music (eating and buying up goodies)!
To raise a little money for FIDO, the SPCA “dog”, we have decided to use the Sanctuary inside toilets for ladies who don’t enjoy using a porta loo – they will be asked to pay R5 into FIDO. The men folk can use the Acorn Loo’s, which are situated behind the garages.

Please help our animal charity…
Our animal food collection is looking rather bleak, so if you can spare a packet of doggie biscuits or some old blankets, towels or yoga mats, they will be gratefully received by the animals without homes or love. A pillow or old soft toy… winter is upon us, the animals could do with a little warmth if you have anything to spare. Brick-a-Brack is always welcomed by the SPCA as they sell in their shop to help assist with the upkeep of the unit. So please give them a thought when next you clean out your cupboards!

Heavy rains remind us of challenges in life.
Never ask for a lighter rain, just pray to God for a better umbrella.
That is the attitude! Life is not about finding the right person, but creating the right relationship.
It’s not how we care in the beginning, but how much we care till the very end.
Some people always throw stones in your path.
It depends on what you make with them; a Wall or a Bridge?
Remember you are the architect of your life.
Search for a good heart, but don’t search for a beautiful face, coz beautiful things are not always good, but good things are always beautiful.
It’s not important to hold all the good cards in life, but it’s important how well you play with the cards you hold.
Often when we lose all hope & think this is the end, remember God and pray, it’s just a bend, not the end.
Have faith and have a successful life.
One of the basic differences between God and humans is, God gives, gives and forgives. But the human gets, gets, gets and forgets.
Be thankful in life…. If you think it is your alarm clock that woke you up this morning, try putting it beside a dead body and you will realise that it is the Grace of God that woke you up.
If you are grateful to God, share this with all your friends to inform them that it is JUST BY THE GRACE OF God that we are alive…
